Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): GT275 Mower deck will not engage, mower deck, dash panel

GT275 starts great, but with I pull the knob to engage mower--nothing. It does not even try to engage. Last time I mowed for 2 hours, turned off deck to return to the house, tried to re-engage to get a spot I missed and nothing. I have checked the wiring and all looks intact. Checked seat safety switch and it appears to be engaging when seat is pushed down. Took off top cover of mower deck and cleaned out all debris. Headlights work, oil and battery lights on dash panel light when starting.Belts all all in place and tight. Blades do move when I pull the belts, so blades are not restricted. Female here, not terribly mechanically inclined, but can do most anything that is not too technical with good instructions. Any help appreciated.I so need to get my yard mowed! Thank you.

Step 1: replace the PTO switch. It's cheap and easy.
Step 2: if 1 didn't work. You will need a PTO clutch.  The parts will be expensive but the labor will be cheap, about 1/2 hour.  If the switch doesn't help bite the bullet and take it to the dealer.  This job doesn't take a lot of time but requires air tools and pullers.
