Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Blown Fuse?, blown fuse, question pool

I was taking care of my neighbors lawn using his Honda ride on mower , when i put it in the garage and accidently shifted to reverse and turned the engine off.  As I turned it off it julted backwards and that is when I relized I had shifted it into reverse by accident.  SO I shifted it into nuetral when the engine was off.  This is when I heard a large crack and saw a small flash.  Now the engine wont turn over.  Is this just a blown fuse or something worse?
