Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): looking for a career change, seasonal business, degress

hi ben.i am hoping with all your years experience in this field you can give me your honest opinion..if i get the training from in school  and learn my lessons well.will there be work in this field  for me to make a decent living?or will i be like most college school kids having degress but no jobs?thank you for your time,

This is a seasonal business, it is hard to make a living at it as there is so much competion with the do it yourselfers out there and the unauthorized so called mechanics.I would do it at first as a second income and then if you get busy pursue it further.
