Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): hydro-cub cadet 1220, cub cadet, level ground

Question
Hi  I brought a cub cadet 1220 with a hydro transmission. I guy said that it doesn't go up hill very good. I know that this tractor has had very little service done to it. He had the hydro filled clear to the top. It works fine on level ground. What can I use to flush this out and what do I refill it with. The cub dealers around won't talk to you unless you bring it in. Thanks Mark

Answer
They won't talk to you because there is nothing they can do any way.

If the belt is good and the trans won't pull a hill the hydro is shot.

There is no maintenace schedule for this trans because it is non-servicble.  It should be filled to the top and the fluid will last the life of the unit.  It can't be drained and "flushed". It won't help anyway.

It uses 10w30 oil.
