Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): John Deere RX95 (x2), 2 quarts, auto parts store

Question
I have 2-JD RX95 units, both with 12.5HP Kawasaki FB460 engines. 1st one will start, but pumps pure oil straight out the exhaust it was given to me doing this. 2nd one was left in weather & given to me & had water in fuel & in the carb & I cleaned out & rebuilt the carb & cleaned the flywheel & coil up from rust & used it for 3-wks w/no problems. Yesterday, it would not start ( debris in fuel ). Cleaned out & started, then out of the blue, it started pumping straight oil out of the exhaust, just like the other one. What could be the cause of this? I called JD dealer & all they said was I needed to bring it in.

Answer
Bring it in!.

Kidding Little John.  "Little John-John" is what we call my younger brother.  I bet he's like you. Not so Freakin Little.

My first guess is they both are overfull on oil.  This engine doesn't hold 2 quarts.  About 30 oz is all.

What ever the problem is, you are probably causing it.  The chances of having one person owning two RX95's with the same problem are pretty small.

Her is what you need to do.  Follow these instructions EXACTLY.  Go to the auto parts store and tell him you want a NGK brand BPR2ES plug.  He will try to sell you a Champion that crosses over to thet plug.  Tell him NO!!!!!

Now make sure the oil is exactly on full ( do not screw the dipstick in when checking)  Remove the old plug.  Crank the engine, with out a spark plug, for about 20 seconds.  Now put in the new plug and start the engine.  When you are done mowing, turn the fuel off. Every time!!  The shutoff valve is behind the left tire.
