Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda Harmony 1011HS engine cuts out, air filter oil, adjustment screws

Question
I have a Honda Harmony 1011HS riding mower and it seems to start fine. From time to time it takes a few turns to get the engine started. Every time I use the mower after starting it, it cuts out a few times. After re-starting it 3-4 times, the mower runs perfectly fine. I am afraid that one day it will stop altogether. We have checked the air filter, oil levels, spark plugs, and blade. Everything seems to be fine. Is there any possibility that something is in the fuel line? If so, what should I do??

Answer
Hello Beant:

Remove, Disassemble and Soak Overnight in Carburetor Cleaner (I Use Gunk). I have Found that Most People can Use a Breakdown/IPL and Disassemble the Carburetor Enough for Proper Cleaning. You Only have to Remove the Bowl, Float Pin, Float and Needle Valve and Any Adjustment Screws that Go Into the Carburetor Body. The Welch Plugs Do Not have to be Removed. Then Soak the Carburetor Body and Parts in a 1 Gallon Can of Gunk Carburetor Cleaner Overnight. The Can has a Parts Tray Inside it for the Small Parts. Once the Carburetor and Parts are in the Cleaner, you can Replace the Lid for Safety and to Prevent Accidential Spillage. Then Blow Out the Passages with Compressed Air. Install New Parts if Required. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower at this Site Addy, http://hayward.arinet.com/scripts/EmpartISAPI.dll?MF&app=ASP&lang=EN&TF=Mainfram... and Select the Catalog American Honda. Then Select Lawn Mower. Then Scroll Down and Select your Model Mower. Then Select Carburetor. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
