Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Pressure washer, compression stroke, ohv engine

Question
I was using a Troy bilt 2600PSI pressure washer when it suddenly quit running.  I have filled it with gas and checked the oil and changed the spark plug but I can't get it to start running again.  It is sparking and getting gas but not firing.  Help! it is a friends and I really don't want to buy a new one.

Answer
Hello Dan:

Can you Check the Compression? Is this an OHV Engine?
It May be the Valve Adjustment if an OHV Engine or the Flywheel May have Slipped and Damaged the Flywheel Key. The Flywheel Key Times the Plug Firing to the Position of the Piston on Compression Stroke. If Damaged the Plug Still Fires But at the Wrong time and the Engine Can Not Start. Send me the Model Numbers Off the Engine, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
