Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 10hp Briggs and Stratton OHV generator engine, briggs and stratton, ohv engine

Question
QUESTION: I have had my generator in the shop for engine repairs.  I got it back today and it ran fine with the choke barely on but when I switch the lever to run it surges.  They put in a new float and said they cleaned the caberator.  Any ideas before I head back for the third time.

ANSWER: Hello Ken:

Does this Carburetor have Air Mixture Adjustment Screws? Send me the Model Numbers Off the Engine, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. On the OHV Engine the Surgine can be the Carburetor, Valves Out of Adjustment or a Bad Head Gasket. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Answer
Hello Again Ken:

Thanks for the Information. Briggs and Stratton Do Not Offer a Breakdown/IPL for Online Viewing of this Engine Yet. I Suggest you Return the Generator and Have it Repaired Again and RUN the Generator at the Shop, Before Leaving with it. Watch the Procedure the Shop Personnel Use to Start the Generator. This Work Should be Under Warranty if it Has Not Been Over 30 Days Since the Repairs were Performed. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.
