Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Murray, murray riding mower, murrays

Greetings.  I have a 42" Murray riding mower and the hydrostatic trans is gone out.  I also have a 46" Murray riding mower, what parts are interchangeable? Can I use the 46" tranny on the 42"? OR can you suggest something else?

Park the tractors next to each other.  Do the bodies look exactly the same.  If yes, you probably can swap the parts.  If they look even a little bit different you probably are out of luck.  

You're out of luck any way Phil.  You have 2 Murrays.  I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.
