Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Sears Lawn Tractor 917.270812, speed transaxle, leak down test

4 year old Craftsman 19.5 42" 6 speed transaxle. Recently has begun to cut out after approx 30 minutes of use. Runs fine up until then. Has to cool down and will start up again for short duration. Pulling out choke will assist in running it enough to get back to the shed. Driving me crazy. Any thoughts, please - about tractor, not me goin crazy. Thanks. Brian.

Sounds like it is getting vapor locked..Check the venting the cap the fuel lines,filter. You may to have the fuel system cleaned out .One other thing you will need to do is do a leak down test on the cylinders to see if the intake valve is not seating correctly when it gets warm.
