Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman 4.5 Briggs and Statton Engine lawn mower, orfice, gas tank

We have had this lawn mower for one year and have not been able to start it cold.  We play with it for an hour or so and then it will start.  Took it to a repair shop and it started right up.  I tried it at the repair shop and it started for me, but here at home....just won't happen.  Frustrating....Please help me.

Has Anyone Emptied the Gas Tank and Cleaned it Out? Check the Cut Off Switch at the Engine Brake Assembly. If May be Moving Around and Grounding the Engine. The Vibration and Movement are the Key here. If the engine is Just Hard Starting, then Check the Choke/Primer and Ensure that Gas is Being Pumped Into the Carburetor Throat when you Prime the Engine.
