Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman Riding Mower wont shift into gear, good shape, transaxle

I own a Craftsman 2 30" riding mower (model # 502251250).  It starts, it will engage the blades, the only problem is that it will not engage to drive.  Can you help me out?  Thank you.

Can you Explain a Bit More, Please. Is the Shifter Not Shifting from One Position to Another? Is the Shifter Shifting, but the Transaxle is Not Engaging? Is the Motion Drive Belt in Good Shape and Not Broken or Damaged? Thanks.
