Hello John
My problem is the trimmer starts and runs well (but the head will not turn)! It is out of warranty, will it be worth fixing and if so could I do the work. I am somewhat mechanically inclined. It cost $200.00 about 2 years ago.

Check the Flex Shaft. It May have Broken. The Breakdown/IPL Does Not Show a Clutch. If the Trimmer has a Clutch, then the Clutch can be Bad. I Suggest you Repair this Trimmer. The Flex Shaft or the Clutch Parts are Not that Expensive. The Flex Shaft Part Number is 791-181570. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower at this Site Addy, http://www.emerichsales.com/home.asp and Select Shop Online Parts Catalog. Then Select the Model Tab. Then Select the OEM (Cub Cadet).
