Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman riding lawnmower 917.270760, craftsman riding lawnmower, tension spring

Question
QUESTION: I have a Craftsman riding lawnmower #917.270760.  I was mowing my lawn and got stuck on an unlevel area.  Got off and it wouldn't move forward or backwards.  Pushed it and it worked again, but slow.  Then all of the sudden just wouldn't move. I got it working again after about 1/2 hour.  Again it stopped when I had mowed 1/4 acre.   Pushed it to the house, when I started it up the next day it worked excellent for the few minutes I drove it around. Haven't used it since.

ANSWER: Hello Sesha:

Go to this Site Addy, http://www3.sears.com/ and Enter the Model Numbers in the Search Box at the Upper Left and Click Go. Then Visually Verify the Equipment and Click Continue. Now you can Select Either View Diagram or View Parts List. On the Diagram for the Ground Drive. Check the Tension Spring # 55. Is there Any Noise when the Mower Doesn't Move? The Belt May need Replacing. When the Belt is Cool the Mower will Move Correctly, but as the Belt Works and Heats up it Stretches and Becomes Loose. This is a Hydro Transaxle, so the Fluid Might be Low. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let Me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Answer
Hello Again Sesha:

No Worries. Look on Either Side of the Transaxle Cooling Fan. If this is the Servicable Transaxle there will be 1 or 2 Rubber Plugs for Adding Fluid. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let Me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.
