Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman Mid-engine rider 536.270290, mid engine, carburetor

Question
Hi! I was having a problem with the mower stalling and realized gas was getting into the oil crankcase. I have ordered a new carburetor. (My father is going to install it this week) Does the fact that I am putting in a new carburetor mean a rotary cut off to stop the gas flow is not necessary? Would it be wise to put get one in addition to the new carb.? Thanks for your time.

Answer
Hello Jo-Ann:

All My Customers are Installing the Manual Cut Off Valve Due to the Fact that the Problem you Described is Re-Occurring Even with a New Carburetor. With a New Carburetor it Takes About 2 Seasons and then the Problem of Gas in the Oil Starts Again. Installing the Cut Off Valve Eliminates the Gas in the Oil Problem Entirely. Just Turn Off the Valve Each Time you are Finished Using the Mower. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let Me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
