Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Briggs 19 hp, briggs and stratton, hp briggs

My son purchased an old sears tractor with 19 hp Briggs and Stratton engine (model 42a707).  He is looking to turn this into a go-cart on steroids.  Is there a way to remove the safety switches for things like sitting in the seat or mower blade not running as they will not be important for this project?  Thanks.

Hello Mike:

If the Engine is Being Put onto a Go-Cart Frame, then the Safety Switches will Not be a Factor. If you are Using the Mower Frame and Engine as Is, then the Easiest Way is to Remove the Cut Off Wire from the Coil/Ignition Module and Replace it with a Single Wire Run to a Grounding Cut Off Switch. The Other Way is to Jumper the Harness at Each Switch. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.
