Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsmen Mower will not start, amp fuse, starter solenoid

Question
Hey Ben,
I have a craftmen 12hp rider model 917.25430 I bought it new in 1990. I started it first time this season yesterday to move it out of the shed for the spring tune up. It started fine however once I shut it off it will not start again. It just clicks. There were no funny noises or anything strange about it. I thought the battery may have gotten week, charged it up with the same results it just clicks when you turn the key. I replaced the battery but still no go. It clicks. I found a 30 amp fuse in  line with the starter cable it looks ok. I cleaned up the cables it still just clicks any ideas?

Sound like the Starter solenoid is not engaging for the starter or your wires are loose. Check all the wires for the starter and the solenoid, also if you know how jump the starter at the starter leads if it turns over suspect a bad solenoid.
Thanks
