Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): honda gx240 carb leaking, honda gx240, logsplitter

Question
Hi John,
I recently purchased a used Honda GX240 8hp engine for my logsplitter. When the engine is sitting level, it is fine. When it is not level, it leaks gas around  the bowl below the carb. It doesn't seem to be the supply line. I have not looked any further. Just wondering if you have any thoughts on this.

Answer
Hello Marc:

There is an O-Ring at the Top of the Carburetor Bowl. From your Description it Sounds like this O-Ring is Bad. You Should be Able to Locate a Breakdown/IPL for this Mower at One of these Addys, http://hayward.arinet.com/scripts/EmpartISAPI.dll?MF&app=ASP&lang=EN&TF=Mainfram... and Select the American Honda Catalog. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck

Respectfully

John
