Question
hello john i have a question on a murray 42515x92a riding lawnmower i want to bypass the clutch/brake pedal it has 4 wires 2 orange and 2 yellow do i go yellow to yellow and orange to orange and also yal say yall use paper clips to do this could you explain how.

Answer
Hello Andy:

Usually the Color Coded Wires Jumper to the Same Color Coded Wire. I have had a Few Instances where that was Not The Case. I Use a Large Paper Clip and Straighten it. Using Pliers I Grip One End Of the Straightened Paper Clip and Make a U with 1/2' Ears. I Usually get 2 or 3 Jumpers Out of 1 Clip. The Paper Clip will Act as a Fuse if there is a Hot Circuit caused by a Short in the Harness. I Learned the Hard Way and had to Replace a Whole Harness from Using a Jumper Wire. Do you have a Wiring Diagram. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of you Mower at this Addy, http://www.smallenginepartswarehouse.com/parts.asp and Select the Shop Online Parts Look up. Then Select the Model Tab. Then Select the OEM (Murray). Then Enter the Model Numbers 42515X92A and Click Search. The Double Click on the Model in the Results Area. Then Select Electrical. From the Diagram it Shows the Yellow to Yellow and Orange to Orange to Complete the Circuit. **PLEASE REMEMBER I SUGGEST THE JUMPERS FOR TESTING ONLY NOT FOR MAKING THE MOWER OPERATIONAL.** Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
