Answer
Hello Jack:

A Blade Adapter is Keyed to the Shaft, Not Bolted. The Adapter Slides Up the Shaft and is Locked from Turning with a Woodruff Key. Are you Wanting to Remove the Blade Nut/Bolt? If Yes, then there are 2 Way for a Homeowner to Hold the Flywheel. 1- Remove the Spark Plug. Take the Plug and Go to a Automotive or Hardware Store and Purchase a Bolt the Same Diameter and Threads as the Spark Plur. The Bolt should be 4 " Long and Threaded 3". Put the Bolt Into the Spark Plug Hole and Carefully Jam the Piston Against the Bolt. This will Prevent the Engine from Turning while you Remove the Blade Nut/Bolt. 2- Use an Old Leather Belt and Remove the Blower Housing. Using the Belt; Make a Strap Wrench and Hold the Flywheel. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
