Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Kohler 17.5 horse, proper manuals, question pool

Question
Hi John, I have a 3 year old Crafstman riding mower with a 42" deck and Kohler 17.5 horse mower. I have used it several times this year, and noticed it was getting a bit weak when I would mow over stuff it used to have no problem with. Yesterday, I went to start it and it wouldn't start... it tried, but didn't seem to be getting fire. I checked the plug, and it IS firing. I finally got it started, but it is very weak. I used it, thinking the problem might clear, but it has only gotten worse. I just went out to try to start it, and it reved up really high... why would THAT be?? This mower is driving me crazy, and now I'm fearing I'm about to be out a ton of money to have it looked at by Sears! Can you help?

Answer
Hello Adam:

Remove the Carburetor and Check the Throttle Valve. The Screws May have Come Out and The Throttle Valve is Not Operating. Send me the Model Numbers, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manuals and Better Assist you. I Don't know How your Question got Into the Question Pool, but I found it Today and will Assist you if I am Still Needed. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck

Respectfully

John
