Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Murray 21hp wont start, starter solenoid, jumper wire

Question
Murray Select 21hp 46" deck model#465602X8D ~2002
mower will not start at all - starter does not turn when ignition is turned (lights do not come ON either - but i have not checked bulbs).  battery tests good, seat switch works properly, no visible loose wires.  how can i test the solenoid?  the starter?
pls help me isolate the problem.  Switch? Starter? solenoid?

Answer
 Hello Steven:

Check the Fuse. It Usually Near the Ignition Switch. Take a Jumper Wire and Fasten One End to the Positive ost of the Battery. Remove the Wire from the Ignition Switch to the Solenoid(small wire on the solenoid) and Touch the Post with the Hot Wire from the Battery. If the Solenoid is Good the Starter will Turn. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower at this Addy http://www.smallenginepartswarehouse.com/parts.asp and then Select the Model Tab. Then Select OEM(Murray). Then enter the Model Numbers 465602X8D and Click Search. Then Double Click on the Model in the Search Results Area. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck
