Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 7 hp briggs, hp briggs, fuel stabilizer

Question
I have a Honda and now a briggs on a tiller..  it is less than 2yrs old.  Gas is getting into the oil.  Both engines have done this.. what gives?  Seal out?

Answer
This is a common problem.  It is caused by a leaky inlet needle and seat.  To remedy the problem you should replace the carburetor inlet needle and seat.

If you let fuel sit in your equipment it will degrade and eat away at the viton (rubber) needle tip or the seat.  I would recommend using fuel stabilizer in all your fuel to keep the fuel fresh and preventing carburetor problems.
Let me know if this helps.
