Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Ryobi SS30 Trimmer, ryobi ss30, set screws

I have a two part problem, (1) My trimmer will idle way too high in the start position. (2) In the run position if I let my finger off the throttle it dies. What do you think could be causing this?

 Hello Mike:

 Remove the Muffler and Check the Exhaust Port and Muffler for Blockage. Check the Spark Arrestor Screen in the Muffler also. If these are Clear, then The Carburetor May need Cleaning. The Air Mixture May need to be Adjusted(if your Carburetor has the Set Screws). Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.
