Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Cub Cadet Lawn Tractor (Rider) dead, cub cadet lawn, safety switch

Question
My Cub Cadet lawn rider died on me. No sound when key is turned on. Cub Cadet Series 1000, model LT1042.
It is 1 year old. It just quit in the middle of doing the lawn. My son thinks it is a celluniod? (sp)cellinoid?
It still has a warrenty, but they charge about 75.00 for pick up.
Would it be worth just getting a celluniod and have my son put it in or should I just pay the 75.00 and have it done with? And where would I get a celluniod for this?
Thank you kindly.

Answer
 Hello Carol:

It Is Not the Solenoid. If the Mower was Being Operated and it JUST QUIT as you Stated, then Call and have the Mower Picked Up for Warranty. Im like you and I hate to have My Customers Pay for Pick Up and Delivery Charges, but I cant Absorb the Cost as the OEM Does Not Cover this Charge. With a New Mower, this is Unusual and Could be Anything from a Defective Safety Switch to a Broken Valve. You Can Check the Seat Safety Switch. Go to this Addy http://manuals.mtdproducts.com/mtd/public/list.jsp and Enter the Model Numbers LT1042 and Enter the Serial Numbers also, then Click Search. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower and Accessories. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more assistance. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully
