Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): briggs and stratton engine, crankcase oil, briggs and stratton

Question
riding lawn mower when trying to start motor will barely turn on compression cycle and gas comes out of exhaust

Answer
 Hello Gary:

Stop! Change the Crankcase Oil. Remove, Disassemble the Carburetor and Soak Overnight in Carburetor Cleaner. Then  Blow Out the Passages with Compressed Air. Install New Kit. Install a Manual Cut Off Valve in the Gas Line and Turn Off the Gas Flow to the Carburetor when the Engine is Not in Use. The Float in the Carburetor is Allowing the Carburetor to Flood when Not in Use and is Contaminating the Crankcase Oil. The Gas Enters the Cylinder and then Seeps by the Rings Into the Crankcase. This has Become a Common Problem and the Carburetor Rebuild will Correct the Problem for about 3 or 4 Months. That is Why I Suggested the Cut Off Valve. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
