Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman Eager 1, craftsman eager 1, lawnmower

I forgot to drain the gas out of my lawnmower this winter, well when I went to fire it up it started right away but died within 1 to 2 sec. I have replaced the sparks, air filter. To my knowledge carb is not getting gas?

Answer
Have you drained all the fuel fuel the tank and carburetor bowl?  After draining refill with fuel and see if it starts.

If it starts and dies then you will have to remove, dis-assemble and clean the carburetor with compressed air and carburetor cleaner.
Have you searched the internet for Tecumseh carburetor cleaning, rebuilding or overhauling?
