Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): toro 521, toro 521, model numbers

Question
QUESTION: i have a toro 521 snowblower..i cant seem to get it to start anymore....it was running 2 months ago, now nothing...when i plug it in it just cranks and cranks then shuts down...any suggestions as to what i could do to get it running again?
ANSWER:   Hello Patrick:

Change the Spark Plug and Check for the Spark Plug Firing. Take a Piece of Wire and Wrap the Threads of the Plug. Attach the Other End of the Wire to the Engine Block. Engage the Starter and Watch for the Plug to Fire. If No Fire, then Send me the Model Numbers Off the Engine, Please. With these I can Locate a Breakdown/IPL and Better Assist you. If the Plug is Firing, then Replace the Plug and Remove the Air Filter. Pour a Small Amount of Gas Into the Carburetor Throat. Try to Start the Engine. Does it Start and Quit? Let me Know, Please. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Thanks.

Answer
 Hello Again Patrick:

If the Engine Starts and then Quits, Remove, Disassemble and Soak the Carburetor Overnight in Caburetor Cleaner and then Blow Out the Passages with Compressed Air. Install New Kit. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Thanks.
