Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Ariens snowblower ST724 about 1980 modle, drive pulley, friction disc

Question
I'm replacing the belts on this machine. split the case, easy part, got the auger belt of, no problem, the drive belt is the one that is the problem? I ended pulling the drive pulley
which is no fun. The Question is, Is there something that I'm not seeing to make this part of the operation easier?

Answer
 Hello Max:

The Older Snow Blowers Didn't have an Easy way to Replace the Drive Belt. Use some Never Seize on the Shaft and the Inside of the Pulley. This will make Future Removal of the Pulley Easier. Sand the Shaft and the Pulley Mating Surfaces before using the Never Seize. The Newer Units use a Friction Disc for the Drive. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
