Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Carb removal and cleaning, changing spark plugs, cycle engines

Question
We have a snowblower that we believe needs to have it's carb cleaned.  Big snow storm tomorrow and it wont continue to run, even after cleaning out old gas and changing spark plugs.  Are Carbs easy to dismantle and clean?  How do we do this?  We have a toro blower

One of the sites covers 4 cycle engines but many of the smaller 2 cycle engines use a float style carb.  If you have a diaphragm style carb the repairs/cleaning are very similar...you just don't have a float bowl.

One of the most difficult aspects is just getting to the carb.  You will have to remove some metal or plastic housing to get to the carburetor.
Let me know if this helps.
