Chrysler Repair: Removal of 300M rear door lock actuator, latch assembly, glass channel

Question
I'm trying to replace a rear door lock actuator.  Everything is exposed but I'm not sure how to disengage the two connecting rods going to the inside handle and push button. They look like they would just pop up and out but I'm afraid of using too much force. There's plastic clips around the rods ahead of the 90 degree bends going into the actuator.
I appreciate any help you can provide,
Jack

Answer
Hi Jack,
The manual suggests disconnecting the linkage at the actuator end of the rods, then the electrical connectors, then the screws that hold the actuator latch assembly. On the non-power set up it says to remove the rear glass channel, with the window up, disconnect the lock button link, then the interior handle link, both at the latch end, then remove the screws and take out the latch.
So in both situations it appears that you want to do the disconnecting of the rods at the latch end of the rods.
