How Is The Impeller Fastened On Engine Shaft? 5hp-model#246 645b352-serial#1j306b30077 I Need To Get Engine Off To Replace Connecting Rod.No bolt Through Impeller,No set Screw.If Keyed,And Striped,Or Jamed,What Do I Do Thanks Joeepat

MTD either used a tapered or keyed impeller.  Is there a center hole in the impeller?  I could not locate you exact model number on the MTD web site.  I found 243-645000 and 246-645-000 but no b352.  Double check the numbers.
What is the engine model, type and code number?  Maybe I can look up the crank to see which one you have.
