Motorcycle Repair: cl350 carbs, honda cb350, camshaft timing

   i am trying to get a 73 honda 350 runing i went through the carbs and cleaned them well . i am not getting any fuel to the clys. the bowls are full and when i crank it long enough fuel will drip out the back but when i take the plugs out they are dry as can be . they are cv carbs any ideas? thanks

Mike, did you take the carbs completely apart?.. see

(same as CL, except for small jetting variances). Did you use all new rubber O-rings and install the small rubber plug (#3)?

Did you check the valve clearances?
Does it have compression?
Is the camshaft timing correct?
Is the ignition timing correct for both sides and does the spark advancer function properly?
Do you have spark?
Do the carb diaphragms have any pinholes or tears in them?
Do you know any of the history on the bike?
Do the choke flaps still exist with the tiny return springs (which often break).

Fuel and air mixtures need to be drawn in by an engine with good compression (ring seal). The camshafts must be phased correctly and the valve clearances must be set to specs.
