Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Ignition stumper, cub cadet 1811, safety switches

Question
I bought a used Cub Cadet 1811 Hydro tractor that starts when you run a battery to the starter and ground.   Nothing happens when you turn the key.  I just replaced the ignitions switch(rusted) and the reverse safety switch.   How do I test the rest of the safety switches?  I got the wiring schematic.
Thanks for the help.

Answer
I rarely use schematics...just got used to doing it but they are very helpful.  The schematic should show a fuse...did you check the fuse?

The schematic should show the safety switches and and there normal position.  NO stands for normally open and NC is normally closed.  You can use an ohm meter to check the switches.  NO should not have any continunity, the resistance should be high.  NC should have continunity, or n or resistance, zero ohms.

Check each switch with an ohm meter.  You can also trace power from the switch to each switch with a test light.

How many switches does the schematic show?  Are there any "solid state modules" identified in the schematic?
Let me know.
