Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Chainsaw stalling, air mixture, exhaust port

Question
I have a Poulan Model 295 chainsaw. Starts fine, idles fine but as soon as the throttle is touched it stalls out immediately. Any ideas? thanks

Answer
 Hello Gerald:

Remove the Muffler and Ensure the Exhaust Port and Muffler are Clear. If these are Clear and Not Blocked then, Remove the Carburetor and Disassemble. Soak Overnight in Carburetor Cleaner and Blow Out with Compressed Air. Install New Kit. If the Carburetor has Air Mixture Screws then let me know and I will send the Directions for Setting them. Check the Fuel cap and Ensure the Vent is Working. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
