Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 5.5hp honda, hp honda, starter fluid

Question
I have a 5.5 hp honda motor on a mini bike I dont know the history of it but it wont run except when you put starter fluid through it then it dies it wont pull the gas through I have had the carb off it several times to clean it etc. but it still wont go do you have any ideas thanks

 Hello Kevin:

 If you have Soaked the Carburetor Overnight in Carburetor Cleaner and Blown Out the Passages with Compressed Air, then Check the Compression. Low Compression will Cause the Problem you Described. Also a Leak in the Carburetor Mounting Gasket or a Crack in the Intake will Cause this Problem. If the Exhaust Port is Clogged or the Muffler is Clogged this Problem will Occur. Hopes this Helps.
