Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): suzuki generator, air filter assembly, ohv motor

I was recently given a small 1800 watt generator with a suzuki 5.5 hp OHV motor.  The gas tank is bad and it is missing the air cleaner assembly.  The unit fires right up with a squirt of gas in the carb and is producing power on the generator side.  I cannot find any site for parts for suzuki engines.  i would like to get an air filter assembly and possibly a new fuel tank but cannot find any information on Suzuki generators. The unit is bright yellow.  Any idea's where to try for parts/ thanks, Gary

  You are correct that suzuki power equipment parts can be hard to find.  I would try calling my local suzuki motorcycle & atv dealer and maybe they could help you with this.  If you can get a suzuki part number you can order from www.bikebandit.com .  They don't have a lookup for the power equipment but you generally can order OEM suzuki parts from them.  Hope this was of help to you.
