Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): weed wacker spool jammed, weed wacker, proper direction

Question
I can't get the nut unscrewed from by craftsman bump and go weed wacker so I can put new line in. Tried everything. Extra muscle help, wrenches, wd40 Help!

 Hello Candace:

 If you are Turning the Nut the Proper Direction ( Reverse Direction of the Rotation of the Trimmer Head), then Replace the Head. You May have to Cut Open the Plastic and Use a Wrench to Turn the Nut. When you Get things Right; Put a Small Amount of Never Seize on the Stud. This will Enable the Nut to be Turned Easily when next Removed. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require More Assistance. Thanks.
