Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): lawnmower, electric clutch, go cart

Question
i have a caftsman lawn mower do you know how to take the electric clutch and pullys off so its just a bare shaft i am putting the engine on a go cart so i have to change the pullys

Answer
the electric  clutch  is held on  by  a bolt throught center.   i,m going to guess a size 3/4  or 7/8 inch  socket.   it is best to use an  impac wrench  and air,   but if you have a socket   and you tap  down  on handle it should come loose.   once pulley  is off  you then will have a plate held onto engine by  3 bolts,  with a electric like  coil  on it.   remove those bolts,   and the unit  should slide off,  and away from engine.   if this clutch is still good????   its cost at new>>.  is way over $100.00    so sell it to your neighbor ???  if you no longer need it.  LOL!!!!    but anyway  that should get you what you need.   good luck
