Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Homelite 150 Chain Saw, auto parts supplier, gas cap

Question
The gas cap on my Homelite 150 chain saw leaks when the saw is tilted.  The gas is seeping out of the breather that is in the side of the gas cap.  The breather is a porous brass-looking little plug that is pressed into the side of the gas cap.  Should it be glued back into place?  What type of glue can I use that is resistent to gas?  Or should I replace the gas cap and where can I find a replacement?  Can I just glue the breather hole shut instead?

Answer
 Hello Don:

The Vent Must be Open or the Tank will Create a Vacuum and Stop the Fuel Flow to the Carburetor. Your Local Auto Parts Supplier can Assist in a Glue that is Gas Resistant. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Thanks.

 Good Luck
