Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): honda gc160 engine block, honda gc160, merry christmas and happy new year

Question
I have a pressure washer with a Honda HP GC160. It seized up while running. After I disassembled the block I found that the intake valve was bent and the valve had snapped from the top. the bottom of the valve sleeve is pretty scared up, but no physical damage to the valve seat or piston. Is this something that can be repaired or should i replace the entire block? Thank You, Kevin

Answer
 Hello Kevin:

The Valve Guide/Sleeve can be Replaced. Take the Stripped Block to your Local Repair Center and They have the Required Special Tools to Replace the Guide. I Suggest If you are Going to have this Repair Done, then Do Both Valve Guides and Replace Both Valves. If the Seats are Good, then I would Not Replace them. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks. Be Safe.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John

PS: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year (:-))
