Mercedes Benz repair: Problem with sunroof on a 98 mercedes 190E 2.6, auto help, rachet

Question
I own a 1989 Mercedes 190E 2.6 and i am having problems shutting the sun roof. It opens fine, but when you go to close it, it gets half way closed then stops. I checked the motor and it runs/ turns fine (seems like nothing is wrong). It seems like something came detached or stuck.  I cant figure out why it does this because it opens fine. I can hear the sunroof motor going but when it gets halfway shut it stops. Is there any way to manually get the sunroof fully closed?  How can i fix this problem?

Answer
If I remember correctly the motor is in the trunk. It should be behind the panel on the passenger side inside the trunk. I also belive that it had a 17 or 19 milimeter nut on it. If you get a rachet and a socket you can turn it manually. just try not to force it and check by slipping a mirror to see if you can see the jamming location. If not I am afraid that the headliner will have to come down
Let me know.
