Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Tecumseh HM88-155020A carb float, ariens snow blower, merry christmas and happy new year

Question
Hi John,
I was cleaning the carb on my old Ariens snow blower ( 8HP  Tecumseh HM88-155020A ) and lost a part that  shuts off the gas flow when the donut shaped float rises to the top of the bowl.  It looks like a small tab on the top of the donut near the hinge forced this missing part into a hole near the incoming gas line to shut the gas flow. With this part gone gas just pour out of some kind of pinhole overflow in the top of the carb.  I read some of your previous answers regarding Tecumseh 8HPs but haven't been able to find a blow up diagram of this particular carb.  Any thoughts?
Thanks,

Jack

Answer
 Hello Jack:

What is the OEM of the Carburetor and the Model Numbers, Please. Most Carburetor have this Tab Made to the Float. If I Understand the Description Correctly. The Float Tab Pushes the Needle into the Seat and Stops the Flow of Gas to the Carburetor. If this Tab has Broken Off then the Float is Replaced. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks. Be Safe.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John

PS: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year (:-))
