Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Kawasaki - Cub Cadet - SRC 621, call fly, fly wheel

Question
When starting the motor I have a hard time pulling the cord.  A squeak is coming out of the part below were the cord in retracked into.  It does start.  After running and I let off the gas the squeak will return and the motor is slowing.  I would like to oil or grease the part of the motor below the cord housing.  Sorry I don't know what its call (fly wheel maybe?).  Please let me know how to get in and lube this thing up.  Thank you again for your help.

Answer
sam,
thats called the recoil.  there should be some screws or bolts holding it on , you will need to remove it and turn it upside down  and lube it with oil  just by letting some get into  spring area.  work the cord a few times to spread it around in there and remount it.
another way  i have saw is drilling a small hole in the top of it carefully,  and squerting oil throught that hole.
by any means it needs lube  or the spring will fly apart.  if you elect the later .  place hole directly in the center of it. possible right where decal is.
