Question
I do have a follow up question.  When I get the new parts in the carburetor how do you set the adjustment needles to get the motor started?
Thank you,

-----Question-----
I have a Toro 826 Snowthrower that leaks gas out of the carburetor to the point that now I can't get it started. How do I find out where to buy parts for this item?  The Sn. No tag is not very legible but it says 38150 and something like ?006591.  The first number or letter could be a D or and R I can't be sure.  I want to get a new float needle and seat.  I also would like to know how to adjust the carb.  Thank you for your time,
Roland Rose

 Hello Roland:

The Model Numbers for this Unit are 38150 and the S/n is 0006591 and it was Built in 1980. Go to this Addy https://lookup2.toro.com/partdex/index.cfm?xCaller=Toro and Enter the Model Numbers. Then Select View Assembly Drawings. You can View the Unit in Breakdown/IPL Form. To View the Complete Engine Breakdown/IPL and the Breakdown/IPL for the Carburetor and to Purchase the Parts you Require, go to this Addy http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ and Select the B. Then Select Briggs and Stratton. Then Select Don't have Part Numbers. Then Select the File #19 if the Engine is an 8hp Model 190402 and then Select the 190400 Folder with the Type Numbers 0989. Select File #25 if the Engine is an 11hp Model 252412 and Select the Folder with the Type Numbers 0191. Then Locate the Carburetor Page and get the Diagram Reference Numbers and Scroll to the Bottom and Locate the Part Numbers. You can Also Call Michelle @ 205 699-2500 and She can Assist you in the Purchase and Price of the Carburetor Kit for this Engine. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Answer
 Hello Roland:

I Wrote this up and put in Note Pad. Please Read All of the Instructions. **The High Air Mixture Screw is In the Carburetor Bowl in the Center of the Nut or Some Carburetors have Both the Low and High Side by Side on the Top Side of the Carburetor. The Screw Closest to the Engine Is Usually the High Air Mixture Screw on this Type Carburetor. The Low Air Mixture is the One at Top on the Side and Goes Into the Carburetor.   Some have the Idle Air Mixture Screw Going Vertically Into the Top of the Carburetor. The Idle Screw is the One that Moves the Throttle Plate. The Following is the Directions for Setting these Screws. **If the Carburetor was Soaked Overnight in Carburetor Cleaning Solution and the Passages Blown Out with Compressed Air and a New Kit Installed,  then we can Set the Air Mixture Screws. Turn Both Air Mixture Screws In Until Seated. **DO NOT JAM  SNUG ONLY** Turn Both Screws Out 1 1/2 Turns. Set the Throttle to Full Open and Start the Engine. Override the Throttle by Pushing the Governor Arm by Hand and Turn the High Air Mixture Screw(bottom of the bowl) In Until the Engine is Revving Properly. Now Slow Engine to Idle. Set the Low Air Mixture Screw so there is No Hesitation when Throttling from Idle to Full Throttle. Now Set the Idle if Required.** Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.
