Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): leak from carburator bowl, craftsman snowthrower, small spring

Question
Good morning John.
Have an older Craftsman snowthrower; model 536.886570/code 8181J...can't
find any engine badging.   Was tuned last fall at Sears and ran well last winter.
Yesterday I filled tank with gas and suddenly gasoline started leaking from a
small spring loaded screw on the bottom of the carburator bowl.  Couldn't
seem to tighten it to stop flow.  Wonder why this let go and how to repair/
adjust.  With thanks, Greg

Answer
 Hello Greg:

Turn Off the Gas Flow to the Carburetor. Remove the Hollow Bolt the Spring Screw is in the Middle Of. The Lower Bowl gasket is Bad or Dry Rotted and Needs to be Replaced. The Screw with the Spring you Turned is Set at 1 1/2 Turns Out from Seated. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks. Be Safe.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
