Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Still confused with new Tecumseh, pigtail, solenoid

Question
Hello John,I appreciate your last advise but I'm still not sure what to do with my extra pigtail from my engine. My new engine does have the carb-afterfire solenoid-my old engine did not.I read in a tecumseh manuel that if you start your engine without this other pigtail connected it would harm the engine, my problem is that I have nothing to hook this pigtail to.I have seen the wiring diagram in a Tecumseh manuel and this other pigtail is hooked to the ignition switch that has 7 connections to hook to.Of course mine has 6 connections.I guess I'll have to buy an ignition switch with 7 connections so I can wire in this new pigtail and pray it works!Sincerely thankfull Cabell please tell me if I'm wrong.

Answer
 Hello Cabell:

That Sounds like the Direction to Go. I have to Replace Ignition Switches all the Time to Match Engines. I had Assumed you Already had the New Ignition Switch Installed and was Wiring the Engine Using the New Switch. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks. Be Safe.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
