Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Homelite XL Carb, thanksgivng, new spark

Question
I have an old Homelite XL that starts O.K. but if you tilt the saw right of left, it stalls out. It also will not idle down and usually kills when you try to cut anything with it. It has a ZAMA C2S carb. It had not been run in a while so I replaced the fuel line and filter and a new spark plug. Any help would be much appreciated.

Answer
 Hello Jack:

Remove and Disassemble the Carburetor. Soak it Overnight in Carburetor Cleaning Solution and Blow Out the Passages with Compressed Air. Install New Kit. Download This PDF File http://www.zamacarb.com/pdfs/TechGuide_2007.pdf and it will Assist you in this Repair. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks. Be Safe.

 Good Luck
