-----Question-----
Thanks for response John. I have no air cleaner on this model. I did check spark and it is fine. The engine is a Tecumseh Snow King, model # LH318SA, spec # 156553H. I have managed to get it to start for 30 seconds. I put throttle on full, choke on full, press primer bulb 3 or 4 times and it runs for 30 seconds and quits. It will not start back up no matter where I have the controls. I let it sit for a day and the routine starts again. This is driving me crazy, this engine doesn't have a 1/2 hour running time on it.
I thank you for your time!!!

-----Question-----
I have a new MTD snowblower that I bought in Jan 06. It has a Tecumesh 8 hp motor on it with primer. It never did snow after I bought it, so I started it before I stored it for the summer. It started fine. I left a little gas in tank and added some Stabil also. This past week I wanted to get it ready for winter, but now it won't start. I have read how to start it, but still nothing. Any idea's?
I know it is under warranty, but trying to figure out myself before taking in.

Thank you!!!

 Hello Rich:

Sorry for the Delay. Remove the Spark Plug and Check for Fire. If there is Fire, then Replace the Plug. Now Remove the Air Filter and Place the Palm of your Hand Over the Throat of the Carburetor. Turn the Engine and Remove your Hand After it has Turned Several Times. What did the Engine Do? Is there a Small Amount of Gas on the Palm of your Hand? If No Fire, then it May be a Safety Switch(if this model has them). Send me the Model Numbers Off of the Engine and the Blower, Please. With these, I can Locate a Breakdown/IPL and Better Assist you. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Hello Rich:

It Sounds like the Carburetor Float has Stuck or teh Main Jet is Clogged. Does the Gas Free Flow to the Carburetor. Go to this Addy http://www.tecumsehpower.com/CustomerService/BSI.pdf. There are some Trouble Shooting Tips and Other Good Information Here for the Tecumseh Engine Owners. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Answer
 Hello Rich:

If you have Gas in the Bowl, then Trash/Water is Clogging the Jets and Passages Inside the Carburetor. Disassemble and Clean the Carburetor. Blow Out the Passages with Compressed Air. If it is Under Warranty, I Suggest you Contact the Place of Purchase and Arrange to have this Unit Repaired or Replaced. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.
