Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): honda 2.2hp (G100), crank case, sprng

Question
i have a g100 in a mixer which has been working fine until i swithed off on the weekend and when  went to re start it wouldnt go. I found the throttle stuck open so i held it closed and it works fine! but when i let it go it does slowly rev its self up. There is no return sprng on any of the linkages so what controls the throtles position? is it inside the carb or is it in the crank case and works through the govenor? any ideas?

Answer
 Hello Adrian:

The Throttle will Automatically go to Full when the Engine is Not Running. This is Due to the Operation of the Governor. Have you Poured a Small Amount of Gas into the Carburetor Throat? Did it Run and Quit? Is the Spark Plug Firing? Speay the Carburetor and Linkage with Spray Lube. It Sounds like the Linkage and Carburetor are Binding/Sticking. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully
